Spiritual Sex?????

Uh oh. Now I've done it. I've touched on that most sensitive of subjects in our lives. Why is this so? Because our culture is so inundated with sexuality and adultery, our minds automatically go to the gutter and they doesn't even mean to. Why does it have to be this way? Why can't we all see the bond of sex as God intended within the confines of marriage? We can if we look in the Song of Solomon or "Song of Songs."

When we peer deep into this most erotic of books in the Bible, we see why God inspired this to be put in His word..............because God knew we mere humans could not understand the true meaning of love and the bond of marriage. There is such passion and reverence in this book. But there is also the deeper meaning. God wants that passion and reverence transcended to our work for Him. What are you talking about you might wonder? Yes, not through sex, but the passion the man and woman in this story talk of, mirrors the passion and reverence we should have for our Savior.

I bet you all think that I have lost my mind? Well, in this world, if we do not look upon God with all passion and reverence, like that of our spouses or future spouses, then how can we say we will truly follow Him? When we are in love, we will follow our mate to the ends of the earth. When we are in love with Christ, we should do the same. Remember this too, true sex is the symbolic marriage bond that brings a man and woman into One being with God (see Genesis 2:24). God wants that "spiritual" sex with us. He wants us to be One with Him.

If you think about it, I haven't quite fallen off my rocker after all.

Pushing the boundaries of deep thinking,
Jesus Freak Out!
